Leavitt has adopted the Japanese 5S methodology as a way to organize and manage our workspace more efficiently. This methodology uses a list of five Japanese words which each start with the letter “s” when translated into English; hence, the “5S” designation. We’ve implemented this methodology to improve efficiency and flow by eliminating waste. “5S” not only improves workflow and sets standardization, it helps to promote a safer working environment.
